Spanish Classes

Pullman Parks & Recreation is very pleased to be able to continue to provide the Spanish classes to all Sunnyside students that Sunnyside families have come to know. However, with Pullman Parks & Recreation taking over the complete operation of the program there will be some changes to the program.  One change that will be happening this semester is that all classes will now be opened up to all elementary students within the Pullman School District. Other changes include students and families do not need to be SS PTO members and the cost of the classes are NOT subsidized by PTO funds so there will be an increase in the program fee.

Classes were very successful this fall with four class offerings and each class was very well attended.  Classes will continue to be located at Sunnyside for the next semester and the same classes will be offered this spring with same days and times.

Due to the high registration in this program and now that the Spanish program is open to all elementary students within the Pullman School District, we are opening registration first to CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS ONLY beginning Monday, December 19 . Beginning Tuesday, December 27, enrollment will be on first-come-first-serve basis to the rest of the community and will be limited by the amount of spots available at that time.  Minimum 8/Maximum 15/each class.

We are very excited to offer these classes and look forward to having your child continue to be part of this great opportunity.  Please contact Parks and Recreation at (509) 338-3227 with any questions or concerns.

You can register by phone (509) 338-3227 or come into our office and pay with cash, credit card or check. Please make checks payable to City of Pullman. Again registration begins for currently enrolled students Monday, December 19.

Class information:

Please make sure you receive a Spanish Bulletin with parent/class information at registration or on-line at pullman-wa.gov/recreation: forms. All children please bring the following: a sturdy folder with bottom pockets marked with your name (if they did not bring one last semester), 500 ct printer light colored paper (not white), and two non-perishable healthy snacks to share for the class (15 servings). You are welcome to send snack friendly fruits that will be consumed during the week (i.e. apples, oranges, etc),
