Due to the air quality issues in Pullman, we are conducting Fitness Movement and Sport classes inside today.

We are advising students to stay inside at lunch if they have asthma or other health related issues.  We are making an announcement prior to lunches today.

Thanks,

LMS Students who show their ASB card can get in free to any PHS HOME athletic event.  Please note that students must show their cards in order to get in free.  Without an ASB Card, LMS students will have to pay the regular entrance fee.

Tomorrow night is a PHS home football game.  If your child has purchased an ASB Card, but was not present at the registration fair to have their picture taken, there name will be on an admit list at the gate.  This list will have only the names of students who have purchased an ASB Card but have not had their picture taken yet.

After picture retakes take place and all ASB Cards have been distributed, every LMS student will be required to show an ASB card in order to get in free to PHS home athletic events.

Picture retakes are tomorrow, Friday September 14th.

Order forms are in the office, but you can also go to the Leo’s Photography website at

E-Mail Update:

The Pullman School District will now be using a different way of sending e-mails to parents.  This new way is connected to the data base created for the "Family Access" website program.

It will be important to log on to your Family Access account and update your e-mail address to ensure we are sending our messages to the correct address.

If you are unsure what your Family Access login name and password are, please call the LMS office at (509)334-3411. We can also show you where to change or add your e-mail address.

We currently use a system called "Schoolwires" to send out our e-mail communication.  Some of you may have received our recent e-mails in two different ways; one through Schoolwires and one through the "Skyward Admin Message Center".  This means you are correctly signed up for both systems and need to do nothing more.

If you have only received one version of our recent e-mails (through the "Schoolwires" system), please take a moment and update your e-mail address in Family Access.

For a few more weeks we will be using both systems for all of our messages, but on October 1st we will stop using Schoolwires and rely solely on the Family Access Skyward Admin Message Center.

We love to keep in contact with our families and hope you will take this important step to update your e-mail address in Family Access.  Thank you!

Good afternoon everyone,
Just a reminder that our registration fair is this week
  • Wednesday - 11am to 4pm
  • Thursday - 11am to 2pm
We look forward to seeing you all here.  Remember, this is your opportunity to have the students take school pictures, pay for any fees, PE uniforms and for the 6th graders to pick up schedules.
  •        7th and 8th grade students will not be able to pick up schedules on these dates due to some changes in our master schedule.  7th and 8th grade schedules will be available beginning Monday morning, August 20th at 9am.  This is a change from what was stated in the letter sent home to all of you.  Even though we will not have schedules for these two grade levels, it is still extremely important that you and your child stop by to ensure everything else is taken care of.
  •       7th and 8th graders can pick up their schedules Monday morning, August 20th at 9am , or they may see their schedule online through family access.
We apologize for the delay, however we are anticipating some changes to our schedule later in the week and don't want to give out schedules if we have a good idea that they might change before the start of school next Wednesday.
Thanks in advance for your understanding.

6/5/12---
Parents,

Can you believe it is almost over?  Another great year at Lincoln Middle School is almost in the books.  With this, I wanted to make sure that our calendars are up to date for the next few days.

  • Silverwood Tickets are on sale beginning today thru Thursday during 8th grade lunch.  Tickets are $40 and include a ticket into the facility as well as transportation.  Food will be separate as students will need to bring their own money for inside the park.  To be able to buy a ticket, students will have to turn in their Silverwood Permission form.
  • The 8th grade trip to Silverwood will be Friday, June 8th.  We will be leaving school grounds at 8:30AM and returning sometime after 8:00PM that evening.  Please have your child dress accordingly for the weather as we actually had snow a few years ago…
  • The 8th grade Celebration will be the day before, Thursday, June 7th at 7PM in the main gym.  All 8th grade students are encouraged to attend as they will be given promotion certificates.  A few special awards will also be given during the festivities.
  • The last day of school will be Tuesday,  June 11th.  We will have an early release at 11AM as school is only a half day.  Please plan accordingly as students will be leaving campus at that time.

Thank you all so much for a wonderful school year.  I feel blessed to work with such a great and supportive community.  Have a wonderful summer and we’ll see you again in August during our registration fair.

Thanks,

Cameron Grow

Principal

Parents,
Today during 7th period we will be passing out 3rd quarter report cards to every student.  This time around, our report cards will look a little different.  These report cards will be in a self sealed envelope and not in the normal LMS envelope we have traditionally done by hand.  With this initial launch, we of course, have found some hiccups with the system.
  • Some of our students will receive two envelopes.  The reason for this is that their printed report card was printed on two pages and that automatically made two envelopes for students.  You will see what we mean.
  • Some students will come home with a report card looking similar to the way it always has.  This was due to a computer glitch.  This is about 18 students.
  • We obviously hope to have these issues worked out before the end of the school year and 4th quarter report cards.

We just wanted to keep you all in the loop.  Thanks so much and give us a call if you have any questions.

334-3411

Good Afternoon parents,

This morning we had the opportunity to take the 8th graders up to Pullman High School to attend a brief student orientation.  All of our 8th graders listened to graduation requirements, extra curricular activity opportunities, and had a tour of the building.  PHS provided lunch for all of our kids and sent them home with a registration form for the upcoming school year.
PHS will be hosting the 8th grade Parent registration Night for incoming Freshman in the PHS theater tonight at 6PM.  School administration and counselors will be on hand to give a brief presentation and to answer any questions that you might have.

Thanks everyone,
Mr. Grow

Just a quick reminder for parents that we are on a half day collaboration schedule tomorrow at LMS.  Students will attend 5th, 6th, and 7th periods.  Students will attend 4th period at the end of the schedule for some quick announcements.  Students will be released at 11:50AM.
  • For students who wish to buy a to go sack lunch...it will be available in the kitchen immediately after school.
  • For students who are in sports, we ask that they head home until practice / games begin after 3:30.  However, if this isn't possible, we will have a study room available for kids.
Thanks everyone

Report cards with 1st Semester grades were given to all LMS students today during 7th Period.
Please check with your child to see their report card.

Parents,

As you know, our semester was to end today and a number of student schedules were going to be different beginning on Monday, January 23rd with the beginning of 2nd semester.  This will not be the case due to the school closure the last three days.

We will stay with our 1st semester schedule through Wednesday of next week.  The main reason for this is to ensure that semester long classes have an opportunity to complete final tests and projects that would have been done these last three days.

We will begin our 2nd semester beginning Thursday, January 26th.  This means that schedules that were to change on this Monday will now do so on Thursday the 26th.

I just wanted to make sure to give parents a heads up on what was happening with our calendar here at LMS.  Please communicate this change to your middle school kids and we will do the same when they return to us on Monday.

Thanks,
Mr. Grow

Friday, January 20th
Due to snow, freezing rain, and slick roads all Pullman Schools will be
CLOSED on Friday.

Do your best to dig out today and we look forward to seeing all the kids on Monday.

Mr. Grow

Good morning parents,
As you know  we are on a 2 hour delay in the Pullman School District.  We will be starting school at 10:25am this morning and students will jump into their schedules at 3rd period today...from there we will run a normal 3,4,5,6,7th period through the remainder of the day.  There is no Zero Period Spanish today.  All busses will be running two hours late.  In other words, they will pick up kids at the bus stop 2 hours later than normal.  We will keep you posted on what things look like for tomorrow as the day progresses.
Please travel safely.

Mr. Grow

Parents,
Wanted to take this opportunity to thank Mr. and Mrs. Covill, Mrs. James, and Mrs. Peterson for their wonderful work today at the assembly.  A wonderful show as always.

During 7th period today we are giving out student schedules for 2nd semester.  We realize that we are still over a week away from the beginning of the sememster, however we wanted to make sure the kids saw their schedule a little early.  Please realize that because of some high numbers in classes, it makes it extremely difficult for schedule changes.  Thanks in advance for taking this into consideration.

Everyone have a great weekend and remember we do not have school on Monday due to the MLK holiday.

Thanks
Mr. Grow
