Ecowell Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to open an account and become a member? It is free to sign up and become an Ecowell member.
How much does an average custom beverage cost, and how does this cost compare to other options in the marketplace? A 16 ounce beverage that is customized with three 100% fruit juice flavors will cost approximately $1.50, making it roughly 25% less than a comparable bottled beverage.
What forms of payment do you accept? We accept Ecowell Tap-Tag payments. Credit card payments will be accepted in certain high traffic locations.
What is Ecowell’s Tap-Tag payment system? A Tap-Tag is a small keychain that can be conveniently attached to bottles, keys, backpacks, etc. The Tap-Tag payment system works much like a pre-paid gift card. Each time you want a custom beverage, you simply tap your tag at the Ecowell kiosk and it instantly signs you into your account. You can then create the drink of your choice, and the cost will be automatically deducted from your account balance. Anytime your balance is running low, you can simply login to your account on the Ecowell website and add funds.
What if I lose my Tap-Tag? You can simply log into your account and cancel your lost tag. You can then activate a new Tap-Tag that will give you the same benefits as your lost one. Additional Tap-Tags will cost $3.99.
What form of filtration do you use? Ecowell uses a four stage carbon-based filter system. We chose this method because it is proven to be the most efficient and effective form of filtering water. Custom tailored carbon based filtration systems are designed specifically for each host site area. Typically pre carbon, sediment, post carbon, and UV 1 Ecowell, Inc. • 1300 N.E. filters are used. Each host site will require a different schedule for replacing filters due to different contamination issues and volume, as each vend quantity is monitored and tracked. Our filters will be sent back to our supplier and recycled!
Is the dispense area sanitary? YES. The nozzle is located inside the machine where no part of any user’s bottle, or the hand can touch it. We also incorporate a UV light that sterilizes the dispense area at all times. Site locations have an agreement or contract for periodic deep cleaning. Automatic interior purging will run before and after all vends to ensure no residues are left from previous vends.
How long does it take me to fill a bottle at your kiosk? 20-45 seconds depending on the size of bottle and the content of the beverage, flavor, and supplement selections.
Am I able to fill my own bottle or do I have to purchase an Ecowell bottle? Any container may be filled, as long it is 40 ounces or less and fits in the dispense area. We encourage the use of refillable bottles, weather they are Ecowell or not. If you do find yourself needing a reusable bottle, they are available at the Ecowell online store (www.drinkecowell.com)
What if I forget my bottle? You can purchase a new bottle, refill a different bottle, or even refill a paper or plastic cup.
