Counseling Center
The PHS Counseling Center endeavors to provide information and services that are relevant to the needs of today’s high school students. We are available to assist students – whether it is questions, concerns or problems during their high school experience or providing information to help guide them in decisions regarding their future.
The basics of high school course selection and registrations, monitoring student progress toward graduation and working to fulfill the ever-changing requirements of education at both the state and federal level is just the beginning of what we accomplish.
Whether it is exploring interests/abilities/skills, job opportunities, researching colleges, financial aid, scholarships or upcoming special events, the web pages of the Counseling Center will provide valuable information for you. The left sidebar lists those pages for you.
Below are various events, important dates and interesting activities we pass on to you as we are made aware of them. Some organizations request opportunities to come in and meet with students regarding their programs and services. We schedule these during the lunch periods so students can visit with these respresentatives at will. These will be listed below, as well
PULLMAN HIGH SCHOOL 2010-2011 REGISTRATION For the 2010-2011 school year, PHS students will be entering their class requests on-line, students may register online from home or from school. Computer access for registration will be open and available from Monday, March 22, 2010 until Friday, March 26, 2010. The PHS Library will be open from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 25th, 2010, for anyone who needs access to a computer. Parents will still need to sign the request sheet and have their student return it to school. Additional information for registration may be found on the counseling center website under “Forms and Resource”. Freshman will registration will began with high school orientation on Wednesday March 24. Pullman High School Running Start Information Meeting Tuesday, March 2 at 7:00 pm in the Theatre Parents and students in grades 9, 10, & 11 who think Running Start might be part of their course work experience while attending PHS need to attend this meeting. Topics covered will include: academic qualification, qualifying test scores, forms, deadlines, an overview of the registration process, and a Q & A session.
