Deni Claypool has been teaching in the Pullman School District for 16 years. This is her eighth year at LMS. She previously taught 4th and 5th grades at Sunnyside. She has three grown children and and grandson who she adores and spoils. When not at school, Ms. C. likes to spend time with her family, read, crochet, draw and paint, walk, eat, sing and climb trees.

Mission For My Classes

 My mission for my students is to be open to learning as much as they can; using this time to build a strong and solid foundation for the years of education ahead.  Make a few very good friends and be kind to all.  One of my roles is to help each child get through this developmentally crucial time in life, "finishing" what she/he can (keeping in mind that even adults are a work in progress), and to leave 6th grad well on the way to becoming the awesome adult that is inside every one of them. Remember what I often say, "I'm not tryin' to scare 'ya, I'm tryin' to prepare 'ya."  Keep smiling. We'll get through this thing called adolescence working together.

Samantha Schertenleib came to Pullman after graduating from Colville High School. She received a Bachelors of Science in Zoology and a Masters of Teaching from WSU.  She is married and has two children and one cat. Her hobbies include creating scrapbooks, doing cross-stitch, collecting Barbie dolls, and finding great science toys.

Mrs. Warmbier graduated from Linfield College with a bachelor’s degree in General Science.  While at Linfield, she was also a member of the swim team and a study abroad participant, spending a semester in Oslo, Norway. After graduating, Abbie married Mr. Warmbier on took on the new funny name. This is her first year teaching, and she is thrilled to be working at Lincoln with the 6^th grade students.
