Sandra Casanova

Mrs. Casanova graduated from Bob Jones University in 1995 with a BS in elementary education. She took a break from teaching to stay at home with her three daughters: Gianna, Ginelli and Giulianna.  In 2004, she completed a Master in Teaching from Washington State University.  During the last five years, she has been teaching at Jefferson Elementary- the same elementary school that all her girls attended! She is thrilled to be a Jefferson Jaguar.

Marla Haugen

I grew up on a dryland pea, wheat, and barley farm near Colton, WA.   I met my husband John (who is from Colfax) at WSU where I earned a degree in Agricultural Education.  We moved to "the West Side" for a few years where we quickly decided that Pullman is where we wanted to raise our kids.  We have 5 kids (biological & adopted) and also do foster care.  I love my job and wouldn't trade it for the world!

Rena Mincks

First Grade Teacher

Rena Mincks has taught for 22 years.  She earned her Doctorate in 2005 from Washington State University.  She became National Board Certified in 2007. This past summer she was the Ferrucci Distinguished Educator  at W.S.U. She currently is involved in a technology grant allowing the increased use of technology in the classroom for the purpose of helping First Grade Students learn mathematics.

Mark started teaching in 1979. He has been the Jefferson Title I teacher with the Pullman School District since 2006. He and his wife Charlotte live in Clarkston, Washington. Their daughter Katie attends the University of Oregon in Eugene.
