Franklin Elementary

"A Great Place to Teach. A Great Place to Learn."
Franklin is one of three elementary schools in the Pullman School District.
Within our 310 student body, over 20 countries are represented, 12
different languages are spoken, and 36% of our students are part of a national culture or ethnic minority.
Family involvement is also very important to us at Franklin. We have a strong partnership with our PTA, encourage family involvement in the classrooms and host many family activites throughout the year (Welcome Back Picnic & Open House, Dad's Night Bingo, Family Movie Night, PTA Carnival, Mom's Craft Night, The Fox Trot, etc...).
We celebrate learning! At Franklin, we value learning and find creative ways to build traditions & celebrations around our curricular areas. At different points during the year, you might observe traditions such as the Turkey Trot, Math Madness, Author's Day & 1st Grade Author's Chair/ Reader's Theatre, Science Week, and Pig-Out On Books.
Franklin is a school-wide Title-I school. This allows us to assist students in many different ways. We are very proud that we provide small group reading instruction to all students, extended day opportunities for math, and a summer learning "bridge" program. We also pride ourselves on building strong partnerships with parents.
PTA
Our PTA is very active and supports our school school by organizing family events, arranging volunteers for activities, fund-raising for many student learning opportunities, and offering parent seminars. New families are welcomed throughout the year. This is a great place to make new friends and learn about the community.
