Pullman Groups Impress at Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival:
Pullman High School students represent Pullman in Winning Combo at Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival.
PHS students Nathan Radakovich (bass) and Alex Radakovich (drums) won in the Outstanding Combo, Open/Arts division at the Jazz festival this year. They were part of a combined-schools combo along with 2 other high school students from other districts - a pianist and a tenor sax player.
Students in a combo from different schools must compete in a category with students from Art schools, so this was a special honor for these kids. Comments from the judges included “All four are very professional—lots of mature playing and musicianship going on” and “Stunning accuracy and clarity”.
Congratulations to these students and thanks for representing Pullman High School!
Congratulations to the Pullman High School Jazz Band, combos and soloists for their excellent performances at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival on Saturday, February 27th!
The jazz band received rubric assessments in the highest tier possible in ALL the musical elements evaluated. All of the students' hard work really paid off in a very exciting and dynamic performance. All of the combos and soloists also presented themselves very well and really displayed their initiative, enthusiasm and musicianship in how they put their programs together and all received excellent feedback.

Congratulations to the LMS Vocal Jazz students on great performances at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival!
The Lincoln Middle School Jazz Bands took first place at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival!
This is the first time in the history of Lincoln Middle School that the Jazz Bands have been recognized with a first place trophy at this festival.
Jazz Band II was asked to perform on the afternoon concert on the large stage in the Kibbie Dome in front of hundreds of students from across the northwest and sounded amazing.
